Should you Snuggle On this Mattress or Give it a Pass?

Bamboo mattresses offer significant advantages over ordinary memory foam mattresses, and are much more comfortable, for one. They are also naturally breathable and don’t bother people with allergies or chemical sensitivities. Though they are more expensive than regular mattresses, in most cases, they give a good night’s sleep! That is worth the price in our book.

The Snuggle-Pedic Mattress that Breathes is one of the top-rated bamboo mattresses on the market. In this review, we’ll list some of the top features. We’ll also compare this mattress with some close competitors, which should help you decide if the mattress is for you:

Details of the Snuggle Pedic Bamboo Mattress

What should you expect from a new mattress? Comfort and lumbar/neck support are important. It should conform to your body shape and shouldn’t cause you to sweat when you’re using a comforter. Finally, it should be reasonably priced and should have a decent lifespan. Let’s see how well the Snuggle-Pedic Mattress does when we consider all these points:

Material

The mattress is made from two layers stacked on top of each other: a bottom 7-inch polyurethane layer and a top 3-inch memory foam layer. These layers are encased by a thick, comfortable bamboo knit cover. The 7-inch layer has vents for airflow, which combine with ventilation holes on the 3-inch layer. This makes this one of the most breathable mattresses on the market. The bamboo knit layer is made from 43% viscose from bamboo, 56.4% polyester, and .6% Lycra. This combination is strong and durable. The cover is also hypoallergenic and will be good for people with breathing problems.

Comfort

The patented AirFlow Transfer system the Snuggle-Pedic mattress uses is very effective. These vents, air holes, and naturally breathable bamboo cover keep this mattress cool all night long. You’ll never feel uncomfortable sleeping on it even when it’s warm outside. Bamboo is naturally moisture-wicking and will keep you dry as well (though that depends on the sheets you use too). The mattress is soft and comfortable, according to numerous previous customers/reviewers. It also provides great support for your back and neck, much more than some popular brands.

Usability

Don’t like how soft/hard it is? You can send it back and get it customized to your liking for free. The mattress is available in all the standard sizes so should fit all frames. It’s also flexible enough for side, stomach, and back sleepers – or for people who toss and turn a lot a night. When you get the mattress, you will have to air it out for a while to get rid of the odor. Unlike some mattresses, this odor isn’t pervasive and will vanish after a while. The 20-year warranty is excellent and should give you peace of mind. You can remove the bamboo cover at any time to adjust the firmness.

The Snuggle Pedic Mattress vs. Popular Mattresses

snuggle-pedic mattress

Is the Snuggle-Pedic Mattress better than other popular mattress brands? In many ways, it is. The two-layer support it provides is excellent and blows many brands out of the water (like Tuft & Needle). This breathable design is a nice touch; you won’t find many mattresses that have this feature. The adjustable design and 20-year warranty are, perhaps, the best in the industry. From customer experiences, the customer support is prompt and friendly, and the company stands by its word. The only drawback – if you can call it that – we see with this mattress is its steep price tag. However, the price is comparable to other premium-grade mattresses (and significantly cheaper, in some cases).

Should You Buy the Snuggle-Pedic Mattress?

The Snuggle-Pedic Mattress is excellent; it’s well designed, super comfortable, and comes with an unbelievably long 20-year warranty. It’s a significant step-up over traditional box-spring mattresses. However, if you’re looking for a mattress with a top bamboo layer, this probably isn’t for you; it has a bamboo cover instead. That doesn’t make it a bad mattress, of course. We believe it’s one of the best mattresses around and well worth the asking price.
